Lambs

2025 Lambs - Coming in April/May

We will register all qualifying lambs with NABSSAR; however, we cannot guarantee that NABSSAR or the Old English Babydoll Southdown Sheep Society will not, at some point, remove them from their registry.  We haven't had this occur, but realize that it has happened to others in the past. All our lambs will have their tails docked, any necessary deworming and vaccines (CD&T). If you would like to also have your lamb registered with the Old English Babydoll Southdown Sheep Society it will be an additional $45.00 charge.

To know before you buy your lamb:

Sheep are herd animals and must have at least one buddy to thrive and survive. And it is imperative that their buddy be another Babydoll as their feed needs and grazing habits are the same.  You will need some space for your Babydoll to graze and be outside. A three-sided shelter, in most cases, is sufficient to keep them out of the weather and from getting damp. Provide free-choice sheep minerals and be certain they are specific to sheep, not for goats or any other livestock. Goat minerals have copper which, in the doses present in goat mineral, is harmful to sheep.

Reserving your lamb:

We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 in order to reserve your lamb, once you have made your choice. The balance must be paid, in cash, the day of pickup. We will accept cash, check or Zelle for the deposit. We keep a list of people who have inquired about lambs and as soon lambs are on the ground and we decide to open up sales, we send an email to everyone on the list and whoever responds with the deposit first is considered to have reserved their lamb.

Pricing

Rams RR & Ewes RR - Registered with NABSSAR - $700.00

Wethers - $350.00 not registered. $400.00 registered

Pickup/Delivery

We prefer that you pick up your lambs on our farm so that you can meet the flock; however, we can often deliver lambs to destinations no more than 100 miles from Eatonville, WA. Contact us for pricing and availability.  If you are needing health certificates or testing for travel or any other reason, these costs will be billed to the buyer and must be paid in advance.

All lambs must be picked up within 8-12 weeks of weaning, depending on the agreed upon dates. If we need to keep your lamb longer there will be a maintenance fee.

Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to decline anyone the ability to purchase a lamb if we deem the home not to be a good fit. We also reserve the right to take breeder's choice of any lambs born. We will generally make this decision prior to accepting deposits. As breeders we will have first choice of available lambs in order to continue bettering the breed and our flock.
